SkyCruncher backup: privacy policy and terms
Effective 2026-10-09.
What the app is
SkyCruncher backup is the SkyCruncher developer's own tool for backing up SkyCruncher project files to the developer's own Google Drive, using rclone. It has no other users.
What data it touches
It asks Google only for the drive.file permission. With that permission it can see and change only
the files it uploaded itself, in the developer's own Drive. It cannot see any other file in the Drive.
Where the sign-in token is kept
The Google sign-in token is kept on the developer's own PC, in rclone's configuration. It is not stored anywhere else.
What is collected and shared
The app collects no data about anyone. Nothing is sold, shared or sent anywhere other than the developer's own Google Drive. There are no other users, so there is no one else's data to collect.
This web page, like every page on skycruncher.io, uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. That is part of the website, not of the backup app.
How to revoke access
The Google account holder can remove the app's access at any time: in the Google Account, open Security, then Third-party connections, choose SkyCruncher backup, and remove its access.
