Catching HD 189733 b with a 30 mm smart telescope

A 30 mm Seestar catches the transit of hot Jupiter HD 189733 b: depth 2.50 ± 0.34 %, on time within minutes.

The publishing bar

Final verdicts only. A page goes up when its analysis is finished, not while the numbers are still moving.
Exploratory until checked on fresh data. A result tested only on the data I tuned the method on is labeled exploratory. It becomes confirmed only when the same method, unchanged, works on a night or a camera it has never seen.
Fixed versus measured. Every page says which values I took from published work or decided before looking, and which ones my own data measured.
Honest about what went wrong. Failed attempts, frames I set aside and my own mistakes stay on the page, next to what worked.

What the labels mean

Confirmed: The result held up on fresh data the method had never seen.
Exploratory: The analysis is finished, but its check on fresh data is still to come. The page says when and how.
Negative result: I looked for something and did not find it, or a method did not work. Those get written up too.
